THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT LIBRARY

For the launch of Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department, Spotify created the Tortured Poets Library, an immersive public activation designed to transform album anticipation into a real world fan experience.

The Grove in Los Angeles was reimagined as a poetic, library inspired pop up featuring plenty of books, track references, and tons of hidden Easter eggs that hinted at the themes and lyrics of the record.

Updated daily in the lead up to release, the installation functioned as a physical countdown that fueled fan speculation, social conversation, and shareable moments, extending the album narrative beyond streaming and into culture.
